This role is situated within a tech team of 30, with a broad split between products/projects and automated QA function. This company has created a world-renowned brand that is built on a continuous drive for high standards & moral ethics. This client operates across multiple sectors including but not limited to eCommerce, Health, VR & AR.

The salary for this position is dependent on your skill level & experience. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of commercial experience, salary brackets for this role start at £70,000 and go up to of £90,000.

Role: Senior Android Engineer
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 (dependent on skill level)

Required skills for the role are:

• Strong experience using Kotlin for app development


• Solid understanding of wearOS (Desirable)


• Experience integrating third-party web services (e.g. social media-based authentication, access to third-party data, and a variety of types – REST, SOAP, RPC)


• Experience in developing custom animations and transitions


• Strong object-oriented design and development skills including knowledge of design patterns and data structure


• Strong understanding of the Android Design Guidelines


• Examples of previously built mobile apps published on app store
